Timeline
It all started in 1912.
1st generation
1912
As a 16-year-old boy, Raymond Imboden moves away from Täsch to find a job in the hospitality industry. He worked in Clarens, Lausanne, London and later at the Hotel Gotthard in Zurich, among others. During the Second World War he ran a poultry farm in Oberglatt (near Zurich Airport).
1946
Raymond moves back to Täsch with his wife Rosa, née Steiner from Tyrol/Austria, and his six children. He took over what was then the Hotel Täschhorn (later the SFH Täschhorn family hostel and today the Täschhorn residential building).
1952
Construction of a two-story wooden chalet-style house at the current location of the restaurant.
1953
Opening of a tea room on the ground floor. Business concession for “Restaurant-Pension Bahnhof”.
2nd generation
1961
March 1st: Raymond explains to his son Leo that from this day on he will be the new boss in the house. His mother helps him until the end of summer and his youngest sister has to support him in the service. From one hour to the next, Leo takes over the lease of the restaurant and the small guesthouse from his parents.
Leo comes to Täsch with his family at the age of eight. A boy who speaks a completely different dialect than the one in the village. Although the father is a fraudster, the family is viewed as a raised family and treated accordingly. But Leo wasn’t deterred. With overflowing optimism and ideas, he quickly settled in. The literal career began from goatherd, to henchman on various construction sites, to cook and then to hotelier.
1962
Leo leads Trudy Zumstein from Stalden to the altar.
Trudy had already worked in various restaurants, was pretty and a good hostess. What luck for the young new host.
1964/1965
Birth of the children Christoph and Manuela
1967
The young couple buy the “Restaurant-Pension Bahnhof”.
1968
Even before the main road to Täsch opened in 1972, Trudy and Leo bravely decided to build the Hotel Täscherhof. Bed capacity increases from 10 to 45. At that time, with practically nothing in the bank account, you could build a business with drive and a lot of work.
1976
Establishment of a sauna/solarium and fitness facility.
1981
Extension to the existing hotel. The number of beds increases from 45 to 65.
Furthermore, a second hall will be set up and two business premises will be attached to the hotel.
1987
The rooms in the chalet building will be completely renovated and adapted to 3*** comfort.
1991
Construction of a two-story parking garage for around 95 cars with direct access to the hotel, restaurant and train station.

After parents and son worked together for 2 – 3 years, Christoph took over the lease from his parents in November 1998.
